kil (rose)'s shopping list
(return home, or) making this public because my birthday and christmas are diametrically opposed within the year so every six months there is an opportunity for you, dear reader, to perhaps buy me something from this list. i will be sure to maintain it diligently so that there is minimal risk of buying something i already have. don't be alarmed at some of the items on here, i promise everything has a purpose and will be put to good use.
- things from ikea:
- gamer lights (if they ever come down from like $45 for 3 meters)
- maybe a nightstand
- HEMNES tv stand/storage thing
- books (preferably physical but i should probably find a pdf and read a little first to decide if i want it):
- Applied Linear Statistical Models (5th ed.), John Neter et al.
- a good intro textbook on acoustics, particularly as it pertains to speech production and perception
- If on a winter's night a traveler, Italo Calvino
- Walkscapes: Walking as an Aesthetic Practice, Francesco Careri
- anything by Emma Goldman, preferably a collection of her essays
- sheet music (Henle and Bärenreiter eds. are preferred if possible):
- Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 4, preferably the original version if anyone is selling the sheets(!)
- any Schumann outside of what i already have (the sonatas, Abegg Variations, Papillons, Fantasiestücke, Albumblätter, Gesänge der Frühe)
- any Medtner (he seems fun!!)
- more Hindemith (all i have are one of his sonatas and Hin und Zurück)
- the first volume of Ed. Peters's issue of Brahms's Klavierwerke (i only have vol. ii rn)
- flipper zero
- one of the more modern casiotones that has more keys and more sounds, or maybe an actual weighted keyboard so i get dynamic control
- alpenflage OR flecktarn OR M90 pants/overalls
- a shirt or possibly print from this artist
- this amber battle axe pendant
- more piercings (lobes (duh), right industrial, rook?) / replacements/modifications for ones i have already (rings for left helices, rings for snake bites, chain from snake bites to lobes when i get them??)
- some sick knives; particularly interested in Iisakki Järvenpää bc Finnish heritage and all that
- any airsoft gun, preferably gas-powered but i can work with spring-loaded (i have no marksmanship skill so it will not be put to good use regardless)
- the chemicals and equipment necessary for a basic chemical clock reaction, e.g. Belousov-Zhabotinsky, Briggs-Rauscher, or the classic iodine clock
